How we work

We are a small, distributed team. Everyone works remotely. We default to writing things down, communicate asynchronously, and respect each other's time and focus.

We move deliberately rather than fast. We prefer doing fewer things well over shipping a lot of half-finished work. Our codebase is maintained by people who care about it, and we expect the same from everyone we hire.

We do not have layers of management. Everyone who works here has a clear scope of ownership and the autonomy to make decisions within it.

Remote-first

Work from anywhere. We do not have an office and do not plan to.

Async communication

Most communication happens in writing. We respect focus time.

Small team

Fewer people, more ownership. Everyone's work is visible and impactful.

Honest feedback

We give and receive direct feedback. No performance theatre.

Clear writing

We communicate through text. If you cannot write clearly, we cannot work well together — regardless of your role.

Ownership mindset

We want people who treat their area of the product as their own. Not someone who waits to be told what to do.

Genuine craft

Whatever your discipline — engineering, design, content — we want people who care about doing it well, not just shipping.

Low ego

The best idea wins, regardless of who had it. We do not have time for politics or posturing.

Honest about limits

We value people who know what they do not know and say so. Overconfidence is a liability in a small team.

Respect for users

We are building for real people trying to find real connection. That is not abstract — it should inform every decision.
