Slow down, and hear yourself.
Life often seems to push us ever forward—rushing toward one goal after another, juggling a never-ending stream of trivial matters. In the process, we frequently forget to pause and ask ourselves what we truly desire deep down.
We grow accustomed to wearing the "right" masks, adopting the expected persona for each situation, while tucking away our true emotions and thoughts. By catering to the expectations of others and worrying about how we are perceived, we gradually lose the chance to be completely honest with ourselves.
Yet, within us lie countless subtle feelings: moments of fatigue, private joys, faint anxieties about the future, and a longing for simple, beautiful things. There is no need to force yourself to be perpetually positive and strong; allowing yourself to feel down or hesitant—and embracing your own imperfections—is, in itself, an act of courage.
I have come to realize that being authentic is never something to be ashamed of. You don’t need to craft a polished, glamorous image, nor do you need to keep pace with anyone else. Take the time to truly feel the morning breeze or the evening sunset; cherish those moments of ease and comfort; stay true to your own inner choices; and walk your own path, at your own steady, unhurried pace.
May I always possess the courage to face myself directly, to hold fast to the sincerity within my heart, and—amidst the clamor of the world—to preserve a quiet corner where I can listen to myself and live my life well.
